The Player Advisory Council (PAC) acts as an advisor to the Edmonton Ringette Board of Directors in the implementation of inclusion practices and policies as it pertains to athletes. The Council reports to the Board of Directors via the Inclusion Director and does not have independent decision-making authority. The Edmonton Ringette Board of Directors provides support through administration, marketing and deliverables as requested by the Council.
What does the PAC do?
The PAC will:
Council Members will serve one-year terms with the possibility of this being extended to two-year terms once the Council becomes more established. The first meeting will be held virtually in Summer 2022. Meetings will be held every two months with the option to schedule meetings in between as required.
To be a member, individuals must:
A minimum of 5 members and maximum of 9, will be appointed to the Council. Should there be more than 9 interested players who submit applications, the Inclusion Director will evaluate the applicants and appoint members.
