This is where you will find all the resources and contact information you will needed to make you season enjoyable for you and your players. 2019 marks some exciting new changes to how the EFCLRA, Ringette Alberta and Ringette Canada support its coaches. Volunteering to coach a ringette team is a huge responsibility and Edmonton Ringette thanks you for everything you do. We will continue to update this page with helpful information and tools so please check back often. JUNIOR COACHES WANTED!! The Junior Coach role exists to allow and encourage young ringette players to explore the coaching role under the guidance of qualified mentor coaches. Junior coaches will be introduced to all aspects of coaching regardless of their playing experience. You must be 14 years of age and an active ringette player (some exceptions). Several of the courses offered by eLearning are FREE during that week, including the Coach Initiation in Sport eModule (required for all junior coaches, on-ice assistants, and active start coaches). Save your association some money and strongly encourage people to get the module done during that week!
Other online modules like Making Head Way in Sport, Coaching Athletes with a Disability, and the NCCP Emergency Action Plan will be free as well and useful for coaches who have statuses expiring.
Coaches who need or want to take a Competition Development multi-sport module have ample opportunity, as Alberta Sport is offering one almost each day of that week. These are not free, but will get PD points and count towards AA and NRL coaches who need a module to qualify for CRCs or NRL.
2019/2020 Coaches/Managers meetings will be held as follows upstairs at the CAC Arena:
Please have at least 2 representatives from each team staff at your respective meeting.
For U10 Divisions:
The Home Team is responsible to provide a minimum of (2) two off-ice minor officials (scorekeeper and timekeeper).
For U12 and higher Divisions:
The Home Team is responsible to provide a minimum of (3) three off-ice minor officials (scorekeeper, timekeeper, and shot clock-operator). Additional personnel may attend to operate penalty-box doors.
The Visiting Team may offer a maximum of (2) two people to act as off-ice minor officials and their participation shall not be refused.
