JUNIOR COACHES WANTED!! The Junior Coach role exists to allow and encourage young ringette players to explore the coaching role under the guidance of qualified mentor coaches. Junior coaches will be introduced to all aspects of coaching regardless of their playing experience. You must be 14 years of age and an active ringette player (some exceptions). Contact Ryan at coaching@edmontonringette.com to become a Junior Coach

National Coaches Week is Sept 21-29th and there are a couple of interesting things to note.

Several of the courses offered by eLearning are FREE during that week, including the Coach Initiation in Sport eModule (required for all junior coaches, on-ice assistants, and active start coaches). Save your association some money and strongly encourage people to get the module done during that week!

Other online modules like Making Head Way in Sport, Coaching Athletes with a Disability, and the NCCP Emergency Action Plan will be free as well and useful for coaches who have statuses expiring.

Coaches who need or want to take a Competition Development multi-sport module have ample opportunity, as Alberta Sport is offering one almost each day of that week. These are not free, but will get PD points and count towards AA and NRL coaches who need a module to qualify for CRCs or NRL.
