Equipment requirements for ringette
Equipment required for Ringette includes:
- Power/hockey skates;
- A CSA approved helmet with a Ringette specific facemask (diamond shape openings not rectangular guard);
- A BNQ certified neck protector;
- A padded girdle with pelvic protection are traditionally worn under ringette pants instead of the traditional hockey pant, although you can also wear hockey pants and socks as long as pelvic protection is provided;
- Shin pads, elbow pads, and shoulder pads;
- Ringette stick must be a regulation stick and should be cut off somewhere between the chest bone and the armpit (with skates on) for proper length. The top of the stick (cut off end) must be taped as well;
