Volunteer Credit Program


Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues Ringette Association (EFCLRA) is a volunteer-run organization, and as such, it depends on the volunteer assistance of its members to function successfully. Volunteers are essential to maintaining and growing ringette in Edmonton and it takes thousands of hours to organize a ringette season. The more volunteers we have, the better our association becomes!


Volunteer Commitment Policy
Edmonton Ringette is a volunteer-run organization, and we rely on the support of our members to deliver a successful season.

  • Each registered player from U10 to U19 is required to fulfill 8 volunteer credits during the season.
  • Volunteer shifts must be completed between August 15 and April 1.
  • No upfront volunteer deposit is required.
  • If credits are not fulfilled by April 1, $50 per unfulfilled credit will be charged to the player’s RAMP account at the end of the season.
  • This fee must be paid before registration for the following season.
  • Volunteer credits are tracked via sign-in at each shift.
  • Credits are non-transferable between families.

* There is no sharing of Manager credits. Many volunteers are required to run a successful team each season, and there are many duties that are team responsibilities that don't come with credits (social events coordinator, minor officials, fundraising coordinator etc.)

Each team is to have the following Team Staff: 

  • Head Coach (on hard card) - 16 Credits
  • Assistant Coach (3 max, on hard card)- 8 Credits each
  • Manager (on hard card) - 16 Credits
  • Silver Ring representative - MUST attend both Silver Ring planning meetings to get credit, credit ranges from 4-8 credits depending on duties
